Fit and feel on existing mattress
Toppers modify surface feel but do not replace a worn-out support core. On firm mattresses, a 2-inch topper adds pressure relief at shoulders and hips; on already-soft beds, additional layering may increase sink. Allow 48 hours for foam expansion after unboxing.
Ensure the elastic skirt fits snugly—a loose skirt can shift during sleep. Deep-pocket versions accommodate thicker mattress and topper stacks.
