Installation and light gaps
Blackout performance depends on coverage beyond the window frame. Mount rods several inches wider and higher than the frame to overlap edges. Light gaps at the center overlap or floor clearance can still admit morning light—consider a wraparound rod or valance if total darkness is the goal.
Thermal weaves can reduce draft sensation near windows but are not a substitute for insulation upgrades.
Care and fading
- Washing: Machine wash cold on gentle; hang dry to preserve coating.
- Fading: Prolonged sun exposure on the exterior face may fade color over time.
- Wrinkles: Steam from the reverse side rather than direct high heat on coated surfaces.
